Fraud Alert: Fraudulent San Mateo Credit Union Cashier's Checks in Circulation

Please be aware of counterfeit cashier's checks drawn on San Mateo Credit Union that are reported to be circulating.
As with authentic San Mateo Credit Union cashier's checks, the fraudulent cashier's check has the text "~SAN MATEO~" in large, capital, maroon-colored letters in the top left corner, with the text "CREDIT UNION" in capital letters printed in the same font below.
The fraudulent checks may be distinguished from authentic San Mateo Credit Union cashier's checks in the following ways:
