Want a lower rate than you can get from a 30-year fixed rate mortgage? Want more payment predictability than you would get from a variable rate loan? Then our Fixed/Adjustable Rate Mortgages are just right for you. These "hybrid" loans offer a very low rate that stays fixed for three to ten years, then convert to an adjustable rate. This may make the difference in being able to afford your first home, or to move up to a bigger or better home, without giving up the security of a fixed payment during the first years of the mortgage. Which Fixed/Adjustable Mortgage you choose depends on your preferences for payment security vs. cash flow. All of the following have a total repayment period of 30 years:

Are you looking for the lowest possible fixed monthly payments we offer? You've come to the right place. Provident Credit Union now offers Interest-Only mortgage loans! By paying only the fixed interest payments during the initial period, your payments are significantly smaller, which makes larger mortgages more affordable. And you still have the choice reducing the principal during that period by making payments in excess of the scheduled amounts.

Movable Mortgages are available for all of the 5/5 (Rates, Apply), 5/25 (Rates, Apply), 7/23 (Rates, Apply), and 10/10/10 (Rates, Apply) mortgage loans, including the Interest-Only versions of these loans.

This type of loan appeals to the more conservative borrower, or those who are certain they will not move or have a need to refinance for many years. The 10 or 15 year repayment options that are available with a fixed interest loan can significantly reduce interest expense, in exchange for a higher payment. Those shorter terms may be of particular interest to those who are closer to retirement, or who wish to refinance an existing mortgage to take advantage of low rates, without adding an additional 30 years to pay it off.
