This is the 63rd consecutive superior rating Provident has received from BauerFinancial, the firm that has served as the nation's bank and credit union rating firm for 25 years.

"This is a testament to Provident's outstanding financial strength," noted Provident CEO Wayne Bunker. "It is further proof of the assurances we have been giving our members — that their credit union is rock solid."

The ratings are based on the financial institution's soundness, with five stars being the highest attainable. According to the press release issued by BauerFinancial this October, only 12 percent of the nation's credit unions have earned this superior rating for 63 consecutive quarters.

The press release quotes Karen L. Dorway, president of BauerFinancial, as saying, "Provident Credit Union is a model credit union. You should be proud to call it Your Credit Union."
