CardLock

If I lock my card and someone tries to usemy card in a transaction, what happens?

If a purchase authorization is attempted on a locked account, it will be declined and a call to you will be initiated to advise you of the attempted use.

How many phone numbers can I register to be able to use CardLock?

There is no limit — register as many as you wish. The automated system will recognize all registered numbers and enable you to lock and unlock your card from any of them.

If I lock my card, will my recurring payments charged to my credit and/or debit cards still be processed?

Yes. CardLock does not affect previously authorized charges to an account, provided the merchant uses what is called a recurring transaction identifier on the transaction. An example is if you have arranged for recurring ACH payments to pay for your monthly fitness club dues, these charges will continue to be processed as usual.

Visa Transaction Alerts

Is there a fee to set up the service?

No. There is no charge for transaction alerts, which you can receive via e-mail or text message. You must be enrolled in Account Manager to take advantage of transaction alerts.

If I'm traveling outside of the United States, can I still track my purchases?

Yes, you can monitor your credit card spending internationally. Transaction alerts can also serve as an early warning of potential fraudulent activity on your card(s). Please note: you may be charged for data and message services by your wireless provider.
