Fraud Protection Plus Offers New Level of Security

According to a report by the Federal Trade Commission released earlier this year, consumers reported losses from fraud of more than $1.1 billion in 2006. The number of fraud and identity theft complaints in California totaled 90,466 during the same time period. (Go to www.consumer.gov/sentinel/pubs/Top10Fraud2006.pdf for the full report.) Protecting yourself from becoming a victim has never been more important, which is why on July 20, 2007 we will begin offering members a solution to help do just that. Members will receive a mailing with all the details and forms to sign up for our new fraud protection package.

Fraud Protection Plus provides three levels of increased security:

$10,000 Identity Theft Insurance with Fraud Assistance
Members will receive up to $10,000 in financial relief for qualified expenses along with Fraud Assistance, a comprehensive service designed to help with the hassle of clearing their good name.

Credit Alert®
Members can minimize the damage to their credit with this 24-hour, daily monitoring service.*

Payment Card Protection
Members are covered for verified, unauthorized charges to their registered credit or debit cards. With this service, members’ cards are cancelled within 24 hours of notice. Call toll-free, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
